Thingyan Water Festival - everybody flush each other with water

Thingyan Water Festival is a water festival to commemorate the Myanmar New Year which usually falls in mid-April and lasts for four to five days. This festival is a festival which is celebrated by Buddhists.

Thingyan Water Festival a feast and an important holiday for the people of Myanmar. This event is similar to Songkran Water Festival in Thailand.

Thingyan Water Festival in celebration of all the people who trusted each water flush can fade sin.

In its development, the activities of flushing the water each other become into a party arena with water spraying from the stage-the stage accompanied by the wayside fairly loud music, and activities around by car-pickup for flushing the people who were in the street.

Indonesian citizens in Myanmar participate in Thingyan Water Festival to enliven this time by setting up water storage tanks in front of the Indonesian International School Yangon (IISY) and also pour water to people passing in front of IISY.

The activity was appreciated by the local people and become one of the event to strengthen the friendly relations between country, eg. Indonesia and Myanmar.
