Mount Rinjani deserves to be the Geopark

A large region covering parts of West Lombok district covering 12,360 hectares, an area of 6,824 hectares in Central Lombok and East Lombok district with an area of 22,146 hectares.

Local governments realize the potential of this area as a nature adventure tourism area, and saw its potential as a 'candidate' of the world class geopark, even UNESCO has seen since its inception.

Geopark as a potential area can provide economic appeal to many people and local residents, and even a tourist attraction to provide additional positive value for the region.

Several expeditions have reported interesting nature of the Rinjani area, such as Segara Anak Lake is located at an altitude of 2,010 meters above sea level.

Segara Anak Lake is in the area of Mount Rinjani, height reaches 3,726 meters above sea level, is one of the best natural attractions in Southeast Asia.

Another attraction is the development of natural interest for the adventure tourism, with the potential of the wildlife in a tourist attraction as well as the ascent of Mount Rinjani and the waterfall tour.

Of course the need to prepare for local residents in welcoming the presence of tourists from various countries, as a prerequisite for the development of this region.
