Lake Sentani Calling from the East End


When you decide to be there, be prepared to enjoy different things. Lake Sentani, one of the largest lakes in the east end of the island of Indonesia, not far from Jayapura and closed to Sentani Airport.


Regions are increasingly in demand, especially from foreign travelers, because of the routine tourists attraction, such as Lake Sentani Festival on 19-23 June 2014, then following the Baliem Valley Festival in August 2014 and Asmat Festival in October 2014.


The view here and there with the local traditional community and the natural beauty of indigenous Papuans to stage homes include fishing nets, home to at least 33 species of fish that nearly half of the original species on the lake.


Fiendly local people on the banks of the lake while driving around looking for a local culinary specialties of Papua, enjoy the Papuan sago, eating the papeda, or tasting the unique matoa fruit that commonly sold on the street or in the traditional market.
