Pangandaran as model Project STREAM

Pangandaran tourism area become a model of cooperation project STREAM - between UNWTO and the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, quoting a tourist site on May 5, 2015 in Jakarta.

Project activity in the region proficiency level since 2011 to April 2014 - the revitalization of the tourism area of Pangandaran, one of the achievements of this project is the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy in hotels and restaurants as well as the development of low-carbon planning software that can help the development of low-carbon tourism.

"In this project also carried out a comprehensive rehabilitation program to restore the mangrove and coral reef ecosystems in Pangandaran. More than 1,400 coral fragments and 38,000 mangrove trees have been successfully planted in the survival rate is high," said Firmansyah Rahim of Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism.
